RuckPacks

Your AI ruck training plan

Answer a short intake and RuckPacks writes you a week by week ruck block that fits your body weight, your load history, the days you can train and what you are training for.

You can answer every question without an account. One is asked for at the end, so the plan has somewhere to live.

What a generated plan looks like

The plan below was built for one athlete rather than for you: someone who weighs 200 lbs, describes their fitness as Never rucked, whose ruck weight today is 0 lbs, who can train 3 days a week over Mixed ground, and who is aiming at General fitness. Their block runs 4 weeks, and the cards below come from week 3, where the ruck load reaches 17 lbs.

Load progression

  1. Wk 1: 15 lbs
  2. Wk 2: 16 lbs
  3. Wk 3: 17 lbs
  4. Wk 4: 15 lbs

Day 1 · Mon

Ruck

Load
17 lbs
Distance
2.5 mi
Pace
18-20 min/mi
Terrain
Flat, and quick. This one is short so it can be brisk.
Recovery
Easy walking to finish, then check the shoulder straps for rub marks before you put the pack away.
Notes
Faster than last week over the same ground. The load is doing the work, not the speed.

Day 3 · Wed

Strength

Terrain
Indoors is fine.
Strength
Four rounds: ten step ups per leg, twelve squats, forty five second plank, twelve rows with the loaded pack.
Recovery
Calves, hip flexors and upper back. The pack is starting to be felt across the shoulders.
Notes
One more round than last week. Stop a round short if form goes.

Day 6 · Sat

Ruck

Load
17 lbs
Distance
3.6 mi
Pace
19-21 min/mi
Terrain
Mixed ground with a rise or two in it. Shorten the stride going up rather than pushing the pace.
Recovery
Feet up, water, and something with protein in it within the hour.
Notes
The longest ruck of the plan. Next week backs off on purpose.

Change any of those answers and every load, distance and week changes with them. Your plan is generated from what you tell us rather than picked off a shelf, and the same rules hold it together either way: the load climbs by no more than 10 percent in a week, and the distance follows its own limit of 10 percent.

That was somebody else. Here is where you get one of your own.

You can answer every question without an account. One is asked for at the end, so the plan has somewhere to live.
